Wearing the Woggle

Contributed by: Shel Dick

A recent Wood Badge participant asked me for the prescribed way to wear the regalia. Although most of us know how to wear it - and I did give him an immediate answer, I was pleased to be reassured I was correct because it is documented in the BSA insignia guide on page 27:

Woggle2 Beads

Wood Badge slide or woggle; No. 5597, trained Scouter, with Wood Badge neckerchief; necklace with two beads, No. 5599; three beads, No. 5599A; four beads, No. 5599D; trained Scouter, worn under Wood Badge neckerchief , and over the ends below the woggle, with official field uniform with tie, with casual shirt; Wood Badge beads are not worn on civilian clothes, dress blazer uniform, or with a T-shirt. Beads may be worn with the official activity uniform.
